Permanent residence in Greece for foreigners – benefits

Permanent residence offers additional opportunities to foreigners from outside the EU, granting the right to uninterrupted stay in Greece. Citizens with such status have the right to benefit from Greece’s tax advantages, set up and run a business. After 7 years from the moment of obtaining permanent residence, one can apply for Greek citizenship.

Under what circumstances can one obtain permanent residence?

Permanent residence can be obtained by an investor when purchasing a new property (one or several) where the combined price must be 300,000 euros net. Along with the buyer, their family also receives permanent residence: the investor’s spouse, minor children, children up to 25 years of age under certain conditions, and the investor’s parents. Permanent residency is indefinite.
